Geometrics exhibition at the Rag Factory East London

Good afternoon, I hope you all had a lovely weekend!!

I will be in a 2 day exhibition at the rag factory on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of October 2012
16-18 Heneage Street
London
E1 5LJ

it would be amazing if you could pop along!! Here's a sneak peak of work i will exhibiting along with a number other people from the Slow textiles group.

Development work of the dresses exhibited below:
The chosen 2 dresses exhibited below:
Geometrics’ perfectly fit in to the Mod culture of the 60s they are cool, exact, streamline and totally expressive just like Mod’s. I love to see the whole picture in this case the fab 60s girl and then hone in to explore the many different facets within.... she has been made entirely of geometric repeat patterns.  Unlike the 60s and the throw away culture I like to bring the Mods up to date using sustainable methods. Making treasured pieces that are full of nostalgia they are original designs and LOVED FOREVER. Working digitally allows for necessary development work being produce with out wasting paper until I have thoroughly worked on the chosen pieces only then they can be printed on tree friendly paper, recycled paper when possible and organic cottons. In the future it would be amazing to digitally print on to vintage fabric's.

Really hope to see you there! Lots of love x x x

Now down to business colour is a really important part of design and to get it right can take years, days or minutes (if your lucky)! Nature is a great source for colour as are Buildings, Animals, Food, Vintage and so on
