Exhibition at the Candid arts centre gallery

Good afternoon on this freezing cold and snowy day!

I hope you are all enjoying the snow and keeping warm!! So I have a long list of stuff to do personal and work-wise! And a few resolutions not necessary New Years resolutions but to keep to key in mind...

Number 1: write a kiss arse blog and  keep it update with a cross between work and thoughts just in case anyone is interested. weekly on either a sunday or Monday.

number 2: Boring stuff like get the washing fixed, it has broken after 2 years.... that's terrible in my book, naughty indesit!! change my gas meter over and have my windows released there's lots more of that boring stuff but I'm sure you can't be interested in it so I'll list it all in point 2.

Number 3: Write an amazing press release about my wonderful work and send it to lots of relevant magazines, papers and shops if there are any great mags, papers or shops you think my work will be suitable in please do let me know!! especially if you know anyone working in them ;0)

Number 4:Write a 900-1000 word paper for the Geometric exhibition on the relation between Geometrics' and Mods. Obviously that means I will need to do all the research too.

Number 5: make up at least another 8-10 dresses.... Design, development, print and make them all for April.

I'm on a mission to brand myself correctly and get myself out there!!

Lets talk business I currently have my work exhibited in the Candid arts center 1 minute away from Angel Station in Islington pop in if you are in the area it closes at 6pm today. It's been great to be apart of the exciting exhibition with another 15+ artists. There is all sorts of work there... it's a mixture of photography, prints, sculptures, paintings and illustrations. A lovely set of work, a painting of lots and lots of people with a restricted palette of 4 or 5 different coloured clothes with a depth of people its really sweet and well painted unfortunately I don't have a image you will have to check it out to see. I'll see if I can get a couple of picture tonight.  Here are a couple of photo's of my work in the show. one has a silly picture of me in there too.
It's a mix of new work below hollywood, different coloured geometric's, Patti, twiggy, steve marriott, BB king, The shrimp, penny, John and a lambretta scooter and a couple of older paintings vidual sassoon model and twiggy in brighton.

Also a great set of photographs by Louisa Maxwell of modern barbies and old dolls questioning some feminist issues. other examples of her work are on her web-site http://www.louisamaxwell.com check them out. She is a lovely lady too!! Always makes a difference!

That's it for me today I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend and I'll be back next week!
